Overlooking Keurboomstrand and Robberg Peninsula, the vineyard falls in a gradual Eco tone between fynbos and Afro-montane forest which enjoys a cool sea breeze off the Indian Ocean. Pinehaven Farm, east of Plettenberg Bay, boasts with a beautiful sea and mountain views. On the farm the wild run free, this includes caracal, bush pig, bush buck vervet monkeys, baboons, and a variety of birdlife. From the call of the African Fish Eagle in the valley, to the famous Knysna Turaco. The Leto venus moth, commonly known as the Silver-spotted ghost moth or Keurboom moth, is found in the bark of the Keurboom trees, and thats how the name came to be.
The first bottling of the Leto Venus sauvignon blanc was in 2011. Processed and bottled at Bramon cellar, Crags. By wine maker Anton Smal.
