Born with an affinity to design and a desire to achieve greatness, Jen Kahn was founded in South Africa in 1982.
Over its 32 year history, the brand has always been very polished, very luxurious, representing opulence and glamour. Believing that every woman can exude beauty and style, Jen Kahn designs compliment women of all shapes and sizes regardless of age.
Jen's steadfast approach to design is influenced by the freedom of creation, the designs often influenced by individual fabrics, developing new concepts whilst refining her skills. This has since grown into a diverse selection of unique pieces.
Five years ago saw the creation of Jen Kahn's first designs of handmade jewellery. This has now grown to a diverse selection of unique pieces, each perfectly matched to the current in-store collections.
Famous celebrities who have fallen in love with Jen Kahn designs and wear the label include Bo Derek, Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron,Cathy Moriarty, Des Lindburgh, Elizabeth Taylor, Graca Michel and Grace Magabe
Focus on innovation and quality led to Jen Kahn being the first South African designer to exhibit at the prestigious Paris Pret-a-Porter; and later exhibited at the IGEDO in Dusseldorf and a major clothes show in England.
Jen’s highly respected talents were once again recognised when she was selected as a judge on the "International New Model Today” competition in South Africa presented by Charlize Theron. Jen was also on the honours list of the South African Fashion Awards at Cape Town’s Vineyard Hotel in.
Jen Kahn continues her work today through her love of designing, drawing inspiration from Paris, Japan, Asia and Africa.
Working with natural fibres only Jen sources her raw material directly from Paris for the diverse and unique selections of linens georgettes and viscose fabrics, as well as the abundant choices of jewellery components.
