General information

Our well-appointed practice is located in the heart of the Green Point Stadium Precinct, right next door to Giovanni’s. Geoff graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy in 1988 and a post-graduate Honours degree in Sport Science in 1989, the latter under the tutelage of Prof. Tim Noakes. In 1991 he moved to Connecticut in the USA where he continued to practice orthopedic physiotherapy until repatriating to South Africa in 2007. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in the USA with a Masters degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy) in 2002, and is also Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association. Geoff has been involved in teaching the concepts of world renowned NZ Physiotherapist, Brian Mulligan, who has been his mentor since 1996, and received full teaching accreditation in the Mulligan Concept (bmulligan.com) in Rome, Italy, in 2002. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the USA based National Strength and Conditioning Association. Geoff established his private practice, Geoff Foat Physiotherapy, under the banner of POINTPHYSIO in 2007, and is now conveniently located in the Stadium precinct of Green Point, Cape Town.
