General information
The Pride Shelter Trust is a non-profit organisation raising funds for and managing a shelter offering short-term accommodation to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community of greater Cape Town during crisis periods in their lives.
The Pride Shelter also accommodates LGBTI (and occasionally straight) people from elsewhere in South Africa and other African countries.
The Pride Shelter opened its doors on 5th April 2011 and to date (July 2016) has supported over 450 LGBTI people in crisis as Africa's only LGBTI crisis shelter.
