VUT welcomes all comments that are constructive; contribute to discussions in a meaningful manner. However, we will NOT condone the following:

“Fake Licensees” posing as legal partners

Blasphemous (the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God)

Comments inciting violence (incitement is the encouragement of another person to commit a crime)

Cyber bullying (the act of harassing someone online by sending or posting mean messages, usually anonymously)

Derogatory language (If you make derogatory comments; that mean you say things that are unflattering, unkind, or demeaning)

Hate speech (hate speech is speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, or gender)

Homophobia (dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people)

Indecent not conforming with generally accepted standards of behavior or propriety; obscene)

Racism (including offensive comments based on ethnicity and nationality)

Sexism (prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, on the basis of sex)

Students or companies posting business opportunities

Xenophobia (intense or irrational dislike or fear of people from other countries)

Religious intolerance (intolerance against another's religious beliefs or practices or lack thereof)

We strive to make the VUT social media pages a safe and welcoming space for all. VUT reserves the right to:

Remove any comments that do not follow the above guidelines; and,

Ban users who repeatedly infringe the rules or spam our page with offensive images or videos.

Any links posted to the page that don't have anything to do with VUT, higher education or studying, will be deleted.

Duplicate comments and posts will be deleted.
