AgriAid SA

General information

AgriAid SA is an NGO, established in 2008, to organise and implement HIV/AIDS, TB and wellness programmes for farm workers whether permanent, seasonal or migrant. The programme is funded and supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), a PEPFAR implementing agency, and the National Department of Health (NDoH).

The main goal of AgriAid SA is to reduce the direct effects of HIV/AIDS and TB on farm workers and their beneficiaries. AgriAid SA promotes an integrated approach wherein HIV/TB awareness, information sharing, biannual testing, and treatment are essential components of the fight against the pandemic. Its interventions are implemented in farming areas of Limpopo, North West, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mpumalanga (MP) and Free State provinces and active in 11 districts. Collaboration with the Department of Health, Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries and other developmental partners has been fundamental to the success of AgriAid SA.
