RISE Academy of Entrepreneurship

General information

Teens are no longer sure that they will be accepted into their universities of choice. With an increasingly competitive job market and comparatively small formal business sector in South Africa, our youth feel confused and somewhat defeated by their future career prospects. RISE is designed to help students to explore their career prospects, chase their passions and dreams, and learn the business skills foundational to any career or entrepreneurial venture.

We run numerous part-time workshops which explore different careers. We also offer courses in entrepreneurship as well as the careers which the youth are typically passionate about. These courses focus around developing the skills around these passion points (such as DJing, Dancing, and Modelling). Alongside these practical sessions students receive a series of business classes, teaching them everything from marketing themselves, to being professional and managing their own finances. All our students leave RISE with an invaluable set of skills which they can use to start the business of their dreams.

By chasing their passions in a focused and disciplined environment, our students are fully equipped to make well informed decisions about their future. Many of our students have created a career or business for themselves in their industry of choice before the completion of their course with us.

RISE has become a fun and energy filled, youth-driven experience where every new student becomes a part of our wonderful and welcoming RISE family, where friendships, collaboration, and dreams inspire us to chase success.
