Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) services customers across a broad spectrum of the economy, including shipping lines, the container industry, the general shipping industry, vehicle manufacturers, agriculture, steel and the mining industry, freight forwarders, cargo agents and are guided by legal entities such as customs.
Themba Gwala is the Acting Chief Executive at the helm of the TPT business. The company has a staff complement of over 7000. Some of Transnet's R300 billion Market Demand Strategy (MDS) investment has been allocated to TPT and its 16 terminals.TPT boost its cargo handling equipment base, create terminal capacity, develop infrastructure and reduce the cost of doing business in Southern Africa.
